Choosing a rental car for a family holiday involves more than finding enough seats. You need room for luggage, a clear collection arrangement, and a vehicle that works for the journeys you have planned. When travelling with children, sorting out these details before arrival can save time and avoid unnecessary stress.
So, how do you decide which rental company to trust? Start by checking whether the provider understands your requirements and will confirm the important details in writing.
Will the car fit your family and luggage?
Tell the rental company how many adults and children will be travelling, along with the number of suitcases and any pushchairs you expect to carry. A vehicle may have enough seats without offering sufficient luggage space when every seat is occupied.
Ask about the specific model’s capacity rather than relying on photographs. If you need child seats, confirm their availability, suitability, and any additional charges before booking.
Friends Car Rental offers car rental in Dubai across different vehicle categories, including sedans and SUVs. Customers can explain their space requirements and request suitable options for their travel dates.
Does the rental period suit your itinerary?
Think about when you will actually need the car. Your arrival and departure times may affect the rental duration, particularly if you collect the vehicle early in the morning and return it late in the evening.
Friends Car Rental offers daily, weekly, and monthly bookings. Request a quotation covering your exact collection and return times, then ask how the company handles late returns or extensions.
Check the mileage allowance against your planned outings. If your itinerary includes trips outside Dubai, mention them when discussing the booking.
Can you understand the full cost before paying?
A family travel budget is easier to manage when the rental costs are clear. Request a written quotation showing the agreed vehicle or category, rental period, price, and any extras.
Confirm VAT, insurance coverage, delivery fees, and charges for requested equipment. Fuel, Salik tolls, parking, and excess mileage should also be considered when budgeting.
Friends Car Rental provides a final quotation outlining the agreed rental price and services. The company also offers a no-deposit option; ask about the applicable terms for your chosen vehicle and how any outstanding charges will be settled.
How will the company arrange delivery?
An organised handover matters when you are arriving with children and bags. Agree on a precise meeting point and allow time to inspect the vehicle before starting your journey.
Friends Car Rental offers delivery in Dubai, subject to distance and availability, along with airport delivery options at DXB and DWC. Share your flight details and confirm the contact procedure if your arrival time changes.
At collection, check the vehicle’s condition, record existing marks, and make sure any requested equipment is present.
Who can you contact if your plans change?
Before driving away, save the company’s contact details and ask what to do if you experience a vehicle issue or need more rental days. Confirm the return location, timing, and fuel requirements too.
Recent reviews from families can provide useful context, especially when they describe vehicle space, delivery, and communication. Combine that feedback with your own enquiry. When considering Friends Car Rental, clear answers about your family’s specific needs will help you assess whether the booking is right for your trip.
